I have just been involved in the Heineken regatta in St Maarten and now looking for either a ride up to Tortola or a crew position in the regatta or even better BOTH!
I am a moderately experienced sailor, that is to say I am both confident and capable but appreciate that there is still plenty to learn the longer I am involved in the sailing community.
I have RYA qualifications to Yachtmaster level and a little racing experience, I would be very interested in hearing from you if you can help me out.
If you are taking part in the regatta and require accomodation for the week, "Skyelark", a 51 foot sailing yacht, has berths available for the whole week. We have 8 comfortable berths available at $55 US per night and plenty of hot water for showers on board.
Skyelark will be following the regatta around to the various ports and parties, so bags can be left on board and you don't need to worry about getting ferries to and from the islands to join your boat in the morning.
Hello,I'm french sailor living in Montréal Canada. I'm 32 in really great shape 170lbs. I have spare time this winter so I want to race as much as I can. I've been sailing since I was 7 yo on ponant (dinghy), laser, Surprise and Étape 23. Last summer I join a First 42S7 's crew on Champlain lake as a genoa trimmer and spinnaker trimmer and I really enjoyed it. I'm a mature dynamic team player.
Would like to resume sailing again after letting my daughter take my wallet to university!!!! Competion good, having a good time after also good. Now 56, former Rugby Player still fit, all my own hair and teeth 225 pounds Done RORc and JOG seasons in the UK either Mast shagging or Grinding. Look forward to hearing from you.
