Grenada Sailing Festival 2011. Crew required

We are the crew of Serendip who have raced in the Grenada Sailing Festival in the racing division on the Prima 38 Serendip in 2004 (1st) & the 47.7 Disco Inferno in 2005 (1st) & 2006 (2nd).

For 2011 we are chartering 'Coyote' a First 40.7 in race trim with a full set of Hyde and Elvstrom race sails to include brand new main and No.1, No.3 blade, 0.75oz spinnaker and 1.5oz spinnaker.

We have 10 crew but can take 12.  If you are interested in joining us please reply with your sailing cv.

Available for a race or two

I am on holiday in Grenada staying at the Rex Grenada tel +1 473 444 3333 arriving Friday 29 Jan 10 at 1720. Could recover sufficiently from jetlag to be a crewman on Sunday? I am an Ocean Skipper and member of the Royal Ocean Racing Club - but my age (65) probably gives it away that I am no longer one of the nippiest foredeck hands!

Hi, we would love to participate and if anyone needs crew with some racing experience (Burnham Week, round the Island IOW, 3 x Oyster Regattas) we would be very enthusiastic.
We are a couple (mid forties), fit and love racing.
Currently anchored in Prickly Bay

Enthusiastic medical students looking to sail on a boat

Hello sailors,

 We are two medical students (Ashi: Male, age 28, athletic   and Kumkum: Female, 24, athletic). We are finishing our last here in Grenada and wish to enjoy some of the events that Grenada has to offer.   

Ashi has had 5 years of sailing experience with LASERS...and then 10 yrs of just pleasure sailing.   Kumkum has had no real sailing experience, but enjoys sail boats and has been on a few.

Very motivated crew for a good boat

Hello,I'm french sailor living in Montréal Canada. I'm 32 in really great shape 170lbs. I have spare time this winter so I want to race as much as I can either on a racing yacht or a classic yacht. I've been sailing since I was 7 yo on ponant (dinghy), laser, Surprise and Étape 23. Last summer I join a First 42S7 's crew on Champlain lake as a genoa trimmer and spinnaker trimmer and I really enjoyed it. I'm a mature dynamic team player.

I'm very interested in joining your team, but need some further informations, is it an asymetric spinnaker or is it symetric one? Where is the boat? How many people in the crew? what is your futur program?

I used to sail on a Beneteau First 42S7, many positions.

wanting to crew

20 year old Canadian sailor. Have been racing since the age of 12 in
lasers and now 49er as well as experience on Farr 30 and Melges 24. i am
looking to race in some more major events in this winter in the
Caribbean and can get myself to the Caribbean. spent the fall training
then racing in the 2009 Melges 24 worlds. came 4th in the 2009 Canadian
49er circuit. i am a determined person and am a good team member.

Key West race week

I am a 48 year old male,
retired NYC Police Sergeant and have sailed and raced everything from a
sunfish to a Farr 40 and last summer on the Schooner "When and If" in NY
harbor
Have an Ericson 30 that I have owned for 10 years and have crewed on
deliveries in the past . I am also the current Fleet Captain at the Richmond
County Yacht Club

So if you are looking for a mature crew member please keep me in mind

Already part of a very competitive team for Key West, looking to join a solid program for one or more (as many as possible) of the other southern regattas this winter. ISAF Cat 1 with recent proven success locally, nationally and internationally on the East Coast and Caribbean. Have sailed competitively in One Design (primarily Swan 42, J105, Sonar, J24), PHRF and IRC. Most experience with Bow (both sprit and pole) and Mast, though also very comfortable with trim and tactics. Motivated to make the whole tour and beyond with the right group. looking for a crew position

I am looking for a crew position on either a classic yacht or a  racing yacht for the Grenada Sailing Festival or other regatas in the region.  I have thirty years of sailing / racing experience   I am a IYT Master of Yachts 200gt and have a national Yacht Captain diploma. I have an array of skills and can handle most any position on board and would be an attribute to any crew. A good cook.

Crewing

Hi Peter

I am travelling to Greneda on 27th Jan for a week with a pal Andrew and we will be availble to sail if you still need crew? 

We are not young bucks, I'm 66 and Andrew is 60 but reasonably fit.  I sail regularly, mostly delivering my Sigma 400 for others to race and Andrew crews occasionally.  I can helm and trim but would be perfectly happy to sit on the rail and enjoy the experience.

Please let me know if your still short
